Okadakamo Shrine

Before the capital was moved Kuni-kyo, Emperor Genmei made a visit to the Okada Imperial Villa and gave 30 bundles of rice plants to the villagers of Kamo and Kuni. It is said that Okadakamo Shrine is built on the ruins of this villa. The main hall of the shrine is a Kasuga-utsushi, a building that used to be a main shrine of Kasuga Taisha Shrine that was deconstructed and moved to a different location.
