The grounds of Tenjin Shrine is home to a 13-story stone pagoda standing at a tall 4.15 meters. The date of its creation, Kenji 12 (1277) October 3, is etched clearly on its pedestal, and it boasts a well-proportioned design, earning its distinction as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

Additional artifacts such as a stone hoto pagoda, and wooden sitting ogami and megami statues from the Kamakura period have been passed down through the temple’s history, making the entire grounds an environmental protection district of Kyoto.
